Software Test Engineer

For our Train Control Management System team based in Västerås, Sweden, we are currently looking to recruit a Software Test Engineer.

In this challenging position, you are an important part of ensuring the quality of our Train Control Management System (TCMS) Software. By coordinating and performing tests, being responsible for the verification and validation, involved from the very start, you guarantee that our products fulfil the requirements set for them. You will collaborate and align with stakeholders internally and externally to resolve product defects.

We are developing TCMS system for several big projects where C30, the new Metro to Stockholm underground is one of them. The role supports different TCMS projects within Sweden and abroad.

Key responsibilities and challenges
Create test specifications, plans and define test objectives that allow the investigation of the software against the specified requirements
Coordinate and perform both tests in the lab and commissioning tests on the trains.
Moreover you are responsible to ensure that the planned and specified tests are carried out.
Effective documentation of and report on identified defects
Cooperation with requirement engineers and software developers to resolve product defects.
Communication of the test results to other stakeholders within the order projects.

As our successful candidate you have great self-drive, analytical thinking skills and you are a problem solver. You thrive in a team work environment and succeed by contributing to and collaborating with others.

Master of science in electrical or computer science
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in embedded software testing
Experience in test and verification approaches/methodologies and be able to identify the most suitable method in a given context
Fluent Swedish and English, both oral and written
Analytical mindset and good observation skills
Great communication and negotiation skills

Knowledge in EN50128
Knowledge in Safety
