Software Test Engineer


As a Software Test Engineer design, develop, test and manage the clients cloud connected platform. The platform is a cloud based software platform providing a web based interface for administrative and analytics support for the clients GeneXpert product family. Automated tests development with a front-end written in Angular and a back-end in Java/Spring. The Work is done in cross-functional agile scrum teams together with Software Quality to develop and test cloud services for disease surveillance and systems administration in the diagnostics area.


Job responsibilities include:
Responsible for design, development and maintenance of automated tests for the product.
Work closely with software development to understand product requirements and to create corresponding test plans, test designs\test protocols, and build test strategies for the project.
Perform duties as an individual contributor and/or team member with 100% hands-on work.

Knowledge and skills:
Working experience with Software test automation with Java, Spring using e.g., JUnit, Cucumber, Selenium.
Experience with REST, JSON, SQL/MySQL
Ability to work across all layers of the application, from back-end databases through to the UI
Comfortable in using a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
Working experience with Git, Linux (command line)
Knowledge about CI, Jenkins is meriting
Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, curious, accountable and flexible
