Software Test Engineer

About the job
You will participate during the complete test life cycle, which includes test planning, test design, test execution, requirement reviews and test result reporting. Your daily work will be carried out in the Product Communication Platform Team, where you plan and organize resources to ensure project prototypes and final deliverables are tested on time and fulfilling internal/external requirements. The systems and products in this team are complex and technically advanced so you will never lack challenges. In being part of the test community in Verisure, you can share knowledge with other Software Test Engineers. On top of that you get access to participating in workshops, seminars and take part of educational material.

Key responsibilities
* Create test Plans, document results and report outcomes to stakeholders
* Execute manual testing (exploratory), test automation and scripting
* Write, analyse, review and rewrite programs to test existing software to correct errors
* Analyse logs and perform security & performance tests
* Take responsibility for monitoring of services with your development teams
* Coach development team in quality aspects

Linux, Java, Python, MySQL, Cassandra, Kibana, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana, Prometeus, Jira and Confluence

What you bring
You have a deep technical mindset and understanding of different database solutions, API-testing, network solutions and software testing. Through your agile and innovative mindset, you continuously improve test processes and methodologies.

Qualifications
* A minimum of 2+ years of experience in software testing
* Good skills in Unix and the use of logging tools
* Experience from manual testing (exploratory), test automation and scripting
* We highly value knowledge in or interest to learn automation
* Good communication skills in English

As well as being structured we expect you to have good communication and collaboration skills. Furthermore, you need to be analytical, curious and have a learning mentality.
