Software Verification Engineer to our new, small radar

The person we are looking for will strive to make sure that our radar software is surpassing everyone's expectations and to give the developers timely feedback on functionality and stability.

The G1X SW/FW team develops most, and integrates all, of the software required to run Saab´s G1X radar.



Your role

As a software verification engineer in the G1X SW/FW team you will spin up software builds, from development builds to full customer configurations, on the radar systems and evaluate their functionality. Your job is to support the development of new features, find the hidden faults, and to make sure that we have the best possible system running at all times. At delivery, you are our last bastion before we hand over our build to the system verification team.



Your main tasks are:

Be our resident main expert on the software seen from a user's perspective

Continuously integrate and evaluate radar software

Support new feature development by collecting data and providing feedback
*

Develop the tools and system-wide test suites you need for verification
*

Reduce the time it takes to develop high quality software across the team



Your profile

We believe that you are curious and always looking ahead. When others are waiting for instructions, you are already trying out possible solutions. Since we are a small team with a broad responsibility, you will need to have an urge to take lead on your own main responsibilities, but at the same time make sure that the rest of the team is keeping up with you.

Your educational background is within a technical discipline.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.



What you will be a part of

The G1X SW/FW-team is a group of about 15 individuals with competences ranging from firmware/VHDL development, through Linux, up to application development within the radar control and signal processing area. The team takes full responsibility of all firmware and software in the G1X Radar system, they develop most of it within the team and integrates the rest.
