Dina arbetsuppgifter
We are looking for dedicated, flexible and analytical Solid Mechanics Engineer with a solid
background knowledge within the area of Applied Mechanics and experience from Finite Element
Analyses (FEA).
As a Solid Mechanics Engineer at GKN Aerospace in Trollhättan, your everyday tasks will be to work
within the Solid Structures and Structural Dynamics applied mechanics area. Main focus is on FEsimulations
using both commercial and in-house developed tools.
You will have the opportunity to work together with several other highly skilled and experienced
engineers in the project teams/value streams supporting our products; mainly within commercial
aero engines.

Qualifications
- Master of Science degree, or similar, within the discipline of applied mechanics.
- Excellent in co-operation, networking, team-working.
- Fluent in English both written and spoken. Knowledge in Swedish is favorable.
- Experience in Finite Element Method.
- Good understanding of customer needs.

Software and IT
- You are a skilled experienced user of Finite Element Method with documented experience in
use of software tools ANSYS WorkBench/Classic and SimCenter.
- Favorable software tools: NASGRO
- Favorable scripting skills: Python, Matlab
- You are skilled user in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in SAP R3 and TeamSite is an advantage.

- You are flexible and structured, can work independently as well as in teams.
- You have a strong drive and engagement.
- You have a genuine interest in aviation and aerospace engines and can combine practical and
theoretical knowledge. You have the ability to understand both the practical applications of
the hardware in use and an analytical approach to design, failure modes and design intent.
- You are willing to help others and to ask for help when needed.
