For AstraZeneca we are now looking for a Solid State Analytical Chemist for an assiignment for one year with possibility for extension.

Arbetsuppgifter

As a Solid State Analytical Chemist you will influence the solid state properties of new drug substances. You will plan and perform experiments to crystallise and characterise salts and polymorphs and assess the solid state properties by using a wide range of different techniques.

You will be working with:

- Performing solid state analyses on substances and formulations
- XRPD
-DSC
- TGA
- Experimental and theoretical risk assessments of solid forms
- Leading investigations and trouble-shooting related to solid form
- Acting as solid state expert in Pharmaceutical Sciences project teams
- Accountability for maintenance, calibration and training on solid state analytical instruments
- Apply technical knowledge to the evaluation of new technology/processes
- Present own work and collaborate with specialist scientific and/or technology networks


Utbildning/erfarenhet

You have a PhD or BSC/MSc in a relevant subject with some years of work experience, experience of individual and non-supervised laboratory work and of relevant analytical techniques, GMP awareness/experience and good communication skills coupled with the ability to work to tight timelines.
