We have approximately 1,000 people located in more than 20 sites in 14 countries worldwide.
Solution Center Service Market Logistics is a function in Manufacturing and Logistics Solutions managing the IT solutions used by GTO Service Market Logistics. They are responsible for spare parts availability for all Volvo Group brands and Business Areas.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are now looking for a Solution Architect

The Solution Architect has the responsibility to drive the development of the solution architecture for PlanIT solution (Spare parts E2E Planning) with a specific focus on SAP SPP and its interactions in Cloud. He / She is responsible to secure the overall quality as the PlanIT solution evolves by guiding the design according to proven principles and facilitating intentional, fact-based decisions. Effectively communicating how the technical design supports business goals is a core component of your responsibility.
Solution architecture describes how different components of business, information, and technology architectures are used in a particular solution. As solution architecture is more focused on details and solution technologies to address a specific business problem, it also provides a channel between Business, Solution management and development team.
AS A SOLUTION ARCHITECT YOU WILL:
Participate in the overall PlanIT solution design, providing expertise regarding SAP SCM standard functionality and information model (for decision on where to implement changes/additions, SAP or not) as well as if/how PlanIT DRP would be affected by changes in other parts of the PlanIT solution
Drive solution selection in SAP SCM
Control solution development (SAP and interfaces)
Define technical standards and practices that should be followed throughout the solution (SAP and interfaces)
Secure the overall architectural quality of the solution
Make fact-based architectural decisions assuring maximal business value with minimal effort, while keeping the total cost of ownership as low as possible
Proactively identify architectural issues and concerns and define pragmatic and appropriate solutions
Lead and coordinate the overall architectural work within DevOps teams, covering all included components of the solution
Deliver appropriate artefacts to clearly communicate business, information, application, integration and technology architectures typically in the context of projects
Raise architectural issues and concerns
Ensure that the solution design is in line with the Volvo Group target architecture and architectural principles
Strive for understanding the business and business capabilities
Functional & Technical skills:
SAP SCM 7.0 expertise (SPP planning engine, Demand capture, DRP and Deployment, Global ATP, Supersession, segmentation, Stocking/De-Stocking, Manage Demand, Forecasting, EOQ/Safety Stock)
Knowledge of Cloud technology is preferable
DevOps, Agile methodology
Prior experience in the Spare Parts Management solution/projects is preferred
Relevant experience: 8 to 14 years
