Solution Architect

IKEA of Sweden, or IoS, is responsible for developing the IKEA range and making it available to stores and customers all over the world. IoS is based in Älmhult – the heart of IKEA and the center of IKEA range development.


Range & Product Development shall enable outstanding customer value through world class capabilities in design, engineering, innovation and range and product management to strengthen all parts of democratic design. Processes & IT Tools´ (a part of Range & Product Development) assignment is to lead the development and implementation of relevant and user friendly processes and IT solutions in connection to range and product development.
We have an exciting time a head of us where new technology will enable new business opportunities. We come from a system landscape that has served IKEA well but it needs to be modernized. Old digital tools needs to be changed to new. Old patterns needs to be challenged. New patterns needs to be embraced.


To build the digital landscape of the future we are looking for a senior Solution Architect to the Product Communication team within Process & IT Tools, Range and Product Development

In the role you will:
Responsible for setting and securing a relevant Digital landscape, including transition roadmaps, in the area of responsibility 
Responsible for spotting technology and technology players to be explored supporting the development of the Digital landscape
Responsible for creating, maintaining, further develop and bridging the gap to implementation of framework & guiding solution architecture principles 
Create high level design for solutions and improvements
Lead the collaboration with business and Digital stakeholders to improve architecture with learnings from the implementation.
Responsible for deciding on technical platforms to be used for the area of responsibility
Proactively identify and advise on opportunities of technical solutions to deliver better business result 
Act as Mentor, Governor, Educator and Innovator when it comes to architecture
Perform digital tool, system and infrastructure design reviews to support running business, provide guidance towards service improvements.



Qualifications
We believe that you have:
A broad, enterprise-wide view of the IKEA business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
Extensive understanding of the IKEA digital landscape the assigned product area and interdependencies both inside and outside the organisation
Strong understanding of digital technologies/trends, industry standards and digital practices with potential to benefit IKEA.  
Good knowledge of IKEA architecture frameworks and modelling techniques
Strong knowledge about test and learn processes and great experience from agile environments and development
Good knowledge of how to solve non-functional requirements



You will be part of the Product Communication and Sales Collaboration team within Process and IT Tools in Range and Product Development, which today consists of 9 co-workers. You will be a part of an exciting development agenda for the Solution Area, while IKEA is entering new interesting markets which requires us to re-think the way how we communicate and collaborate about our products. You will do this by working together with the team, business process and matrix representatives, IT suppliers and other functions in the IKEA family.


Additional information
We work in an international environment which could lead to some travelling but primary location for this assignment is Älmhult.
