IKEA of Sweden, or IoS, is responsible for developing the IKEA range and making it available to stores and customers all over the world. IoS is based in Älmhult – the heart of IKEA and the center of IKEA range development.
Range & Product Development shall enable outstanding customer value through world class capabilities in design, engineering, innovation and range and product management to strengthen all parts of democratic design. Processes & IT Tools´ (a part of Range & Product Development) assignment is to lead the development and implementation of relevant and user friendly processes and IT solutions in connection to range and product development.
We have an exciting time a head of us where new technology will enable new business opportunities. We come from a system landscape that has served IKEA well but it needs to be modernized. Old digital tools needs to be changed to new. Old patterns needs to be challenged and new patterns needs to be embraced.
Assignment
The assignment as lead PLM platform architect:
• To advise, steer and actively participate in projects developing new solutions and the maintenance of the PLM platform
• Lead and steer the Solution architects within the Platform
• Responsible for detailing IT functional and non-functional requirements for given business requirements in the business solution delivery process and project management (support with clarifying business requirements if needed).
• Secure that the PLM Platform and its IT solutions fulfil the agreed functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Secure, develop and review high-level design. Approve low-level design of the implementation of a business transformation with an IT component in order to support running business, provide guidance towards service improvements and service transition.
• Govern that the design of the solutions conforms to the solution architecture and is efficient, meet business requirements, fits within the platform and based on a holistic architecture.
• In close collaboration with IT and Business architects lead solution activities within the

Qualifications
Are you the right candidate?
We believe you have experience of IT development processes and of solution architecture concepts.
We believe you are experienced in using models, methods and tools within analysis and design, and have solid knowledge of general IT frameworks.
You have excellent analytical skills. You are able to see the big picture as well as the details and to structure information and derive conclusions and consequences out of them. For you, quality is important.
You are able to interact with strong stakeholders confidently – understand them and their needs as well as making them understand you.
You also have:
• Solid understanding of the IKEA development process.
• Solid understanding of the PLM concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Solid understanding of CAD, Assembly, Part, Bill of Materials, Workflow Process, Change Management, Product Structure, Process Management, etc. within the PLM Platform
• Solid understanding of the PTC Windchill platform.
Additional information
We work in an international environment which could lead to some travelling but primary location for this assignment is Älmhult.
