SOLUTION ARCHITECT – DATA SCIENCE PLATFORM

For Sandvik Group Functions IT, we’re now looking for an experienced Solution Architect for our Data Science Platform. Your mission
In this position, you provide technical guidance in the design of products and services to ensure translation of business requirements into IT solutions, and you implement these solutions in alignment with our business needs and strategy. Other important tasks and responsibilities include:

Developing and anchoring technical roadmaps for products
Product lifecycle management
Validating the quality and design of solutions
Developing, building and deploying best practices within the Kubernetes solutions
Building and promoting reusable solutions for Kubernetes
Maintaining – and to a large degree architecting and designing – the CI/CD pipeline for our backend services
Other technical tasks, including working with Ubuntu, Git, YAML/JSON, REST and various storage solutions

This position is located in Sandviken, Sweden.

Your character
We’re looking for someone with at least five years’ experience from working in a similar role, where you’ve gained experience from working with microservices architecture, helm and helm chart application package manager and Google Cloud Platform. Other required experiences;

Terraform, ARM/CloudFormation templates, or similar technology
Network infrastructure, security, and application development
Experience in building, architecting, designing, and implementing distributed global cloud-based systems (from a solution architect role)
Working in agile teams and development principles
Hands on experience from containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), Identity Management, Networking, Compute, and Google native management and governance tooling


To truly succeed in this role, you also have knowledge of the following;
Modern programming language (Python, JavaScript, etc.) and/or scripting, Infrastructure as code etc
Technology solutions and ability to learn/understand emerging technologies/methodologies/solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space
CICD tools e.g. Github, Gitlab
Opensource tools and technologies
