Arbetsbeskrivning
At IKEA, we aim to make healthy and sustainable choices affordable and accessible for all. To make that happen, we need people with imagination. People who know that everyone has a right to feel at home. People who share our vision of a better everyday life. Together we’ll innovate the future of life at home through data, technology, retail and home furnishing know-how. We need future architects, down-to-earth data scientists, unboxed engineers, cyber guardians, common sense makers and more! Are you one of them?
With the introduction of an enterprise-wide Data & Analytics (D&A) platform, democratizing data throughout Inter IKEA, the business usage of data is recognized to grow rapidly. Consequently, data governance processes and the supporting tools that will help end users in consuming the data – data management tools – are becoming increasingly important.
In the D&A organisation, representing one of the expertise areas in IKEA Shared Data & Technology, we currently have an opening for a Solution Architect (SA) – with the Data Management group located in Malmö. The SA will have a multi-purpose technical specialist assignment focused on the data management tools that are owned, developed, and maintained by the D&A organisation. Currently, these are the Inter IKEA tools for Data Catalog, Data Lineage and Business Glossary, with a scope that is likely to be continuously extended.
In the SA position, you will work in a highly collaborative team to devise solutions to business challenges, adding your skills and ideas into every discussion. You will bring your energy, drive and technical expertise into enablement and support of the data management tools. In this domain, a wide variety of problem statements, often stretching over the virtual boundaries of D&A and Information Management (IM), are addressed. Typical assignments range from tool configuration/installation through architecture and access management to in-depth discussions and recommendations around software development and simple bug-fixing. With these capabilities as
your bread and butter, we would like you act as our tech lead linking between the Digital Product Leaders, the outsourced DevOps teams and the respective software vendors. In summary, we are looking for a real-time problem-solver with the ability to make true operational difference today, with the desire and potential to take on bigger responsibilities tomorrow.
For the data management tools owned by D&A, the Solution Architect will:
Be the functional expert and specialist
Take lead in securing the technical roadmap(s)
Be responsible for architecture, making sure that technical and non-technical components work aligned with the business processes and create a holistic whole
Maintain solution management processes and perform administrative flows
Support projects and enhancement requests for the assigned platforms (e.g. development, support flow and communication).
Validate functionality and design for continuous improvement
Together with the Digital Product Leader be responsible for the running operations
Safeguard compliance and consistency related to relevant digital frameworks, principles, guidelines, policies, and standards
Make sure that the overall technology and architecture roadmap are being considered in different decisions/discussions
Secure that the platform capacity is set up and used in an optimised way, with the purpose to be efficient by re-using components where possible
Understand how the tools/platform interacts or integrates with other platforms and be able to provide technical solutions in relation to other platforms
Understand and have the ability to configure based on recommendations from the tool suppliers, e.g. Manta, Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Microsoft etc.
Work closely together with the different IKEA Core Businesses, IT vendors and partners, peers, colleagues, etc.
