SKF is now looking for a hands-on and results-oriented
Solution Architect
Industrial IoT
to join our growing team.
You will be part of the Future Factory team tasked to transform and equip the SKF Group Manufacturing footprint with digital solutions, skills and knowledge to strengthen World Class Manufacturing for competitive advantage. You will be responsible for industrial software development, standards and practices in digital manufacturing.
Key responsibilities
• Drive the industrial software development together with the high-performing cross-functional Future Factory team, aligned with business demands and priorities
• Assess the demands and translate them to software development requirements and software architectures
• Provide guidance and steer on industrial software architectures and related software practices to the SKF Manufacturing community
• Innovate with latest technologies to find new technology enablers for additional business benefits
• Involvement in key initiatives to safeguard their execution
Requirements
• University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or equivalent
• Strong hands-on experience in software squad management, software practice management (Git, DevOps), software development (C#, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, R), software containerization (Docker, K8S) and software delivery automation (CI/CD, Terraform)
• Basic knowledge in Cloud Native Architectures, such as REST and APIs, Microservices, Docker, K8S, SQL, NoSQL, Messaging
• Basic knowledge in Cloud and Hybrid-Cloud services in Microsoft Azure
• Basic knowledge in Industrial IoT technologies, such as OPC-UA, MQTT/AMQP, Event Driven Architectures, Time Series Databases
• Certifications in MCTS, MCPD, Microsoft Certified Azure Developer, Microsoft Certified Azure DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified Azure Solution Architect, or similar is considered advantageous
• Fluent in English, both verbal and in writing

Additional information
Preferred location: Airasca, Gothenburg or Sofia or any other major SKF manufacturing site in Europe.
