Hi there, we are currently looking for a Solution Architect and Integration / API expert to join our Digital Enablement team.

About Integration Services - Digital Enablement Area
The purpose of Integration Services is to enable integration capabilities & services to the digital teams. Integration Services are supporting our digital teams with integration platforms for when we need to tie our services to external partners, or when we need to connect our COTS applications with each other in a modern way that fits into our event driven architecture. Integrations and APIs at Polestar often use the Mulesoft platform, but it is not the only integration layer present here.
About the role
The Solution Architect is a modern technologist, an expert in integration and APIs with a background in software development. Maybe you are an engineer who wants to take on a lead role helping the teams see the big picture. You will guide the teams to build integration solutions that are coherent with our event driven architecture and ensures high reusability and discoverability of available APIs. You believe integration development can be democratized and strive to offer as much self-service as possible, with an as code approach. You must be passionate about robustness and availability, having an always on mindset. You love to engage in architectural events and collaborate with other architects & teams in the organization to create clarity and progress. You are an influencer and thought leader that will possess the in-depth technical expertise and credibility to provide guidance to the development team/s. You will perform hands-on activities as required to ensure success.

For many, the autonomy at Polestar is liberating, challenging and unusual. Polestar’s inhouse tech stack is modern and free from legacy constraints, mainly based around Node.js, Typescript, React.js, GraphQL, .NET Core, C#. Our inhouse developed applications run in AWS on a serverless architecture using lambda functions and services such as DynamoDB.
What you will do
- Conduct requirements gathering workshops from integration perspective and lead the solution design process
- Coach the integration team/s through complex, multi-phased deliveries and provide hands-on delivery guidance to the developers and stake holders
- Create and influence proper standards for development, governance, and operational lifecycle within the team
- Maintain the integration landscape diagram and be the technical face of the integration team in architectural reviews
- Coach the team towards turning lessons learned into continuous improvement backlog items
- Collaborate with Digital Lead to create a good balance of new development vs continuous improvement in backlog refinements
Who you are
- Experience from being a tech lead with architectural depth or previous experience as solution architect
- Deep knowledge around integration platforms (e.g. Mulesoft) and APIs
- Experience from working with shared services / platform products with high degree of self-service for users
- Tech savvy with ambitions to establish great developer relations
- Strong collaborator
- Experience of working with cloud, git / source code mgmt, backlog tools, CI/CD, DevOps, agile development…
- Excellent listener and strong communication skills
