Solution Architect, Procurement - Product Creation and Industrial

We are currently looking for a Solution Architect within the Procurement area to join our Product Creation and Industrial team.

About Product Creation and Industrial Domain

The purpose of the domain of Product Creation and Industrial is to deliver digital solutions supporting the creation and life cycle management of the product, as well as the order-to-delivery value stream. From customer order, production planning, manufacturing execution to delivered car, we secure the industrial flows with smart digital solutions. This is a newly established domain that will grow over time.

The Procurement Team

Within the Product Creation & Industrial domain we are establishing a Procurement Team who will be responsible for the E2E Direct Procurement process; Supplier Management, Strategic Sourcing, Sourcing, Contract & Ordering, where Sustainability will be a guiding star throughout the process. New solutions and critical capabilities will have to be stepwise established according to the cycle plan to enable the next step in Polestar’s growth.  

About the role

As the Solution Architect, you will own the technical and architectural decisions for the Procurement team, valuing simplicity and are willing to challenge technical constraints and procedures to achieve robust and scalable solutions. You will be the visionary force behind the technical solutions and are responsible for planning and developing the architectural runway in collaboration with the Domain Architect. You will also ensure that solutions meet business needs and are compatible with existing architectures.

What you will do

- Design the overall technical architecture within the Procurement Area with the help of the teams and Domain Architect 
- Ensure the Procurement solutions align to the enterprise policies as defined by the Architecture & Standards team 
- Guide teams on technology strategy related to DevOps practices 
- Ensuring that solutions development is scalable and global by design 
- Coach the development team and help with code reviews 
- Identify and remove technical impediments, in collaboration with the Domain Architect 
- Work with Digital and Technical Leads to align the roadmap with strengths and opportunities within the technical stack 
- Constantly work with improving the Digital product/service/platform, not afraid to challenge the status quo 
- You will own the list of identified technical debt for a digital product/service/platform, prioritize it together with the domain architect, and work with the team to gradually reduce technical debt associated with the digital product/service/platform, as well as cross-cutting domain issues in the sprints 
- Provide the teams with policies and guidelines regarding software engineering practices to ensure stability, scalability and performance 


Who you are

- Deep understanding within the Procurement Process, preferable from the Automotive sector, both from a Digital and Business perspective 
- Experience working on projects that span multiple organizations and business units  
- Seasoned technical lead with deep insight into newest technology trends  
- Significant experience with Agile infrastructure, environments, and deployment strategies / technologies to drive efficient working practices and DevOps  
- Can make architecture decisions at both team and Digital product level 
- Keen sense of design thinking  
- Experience managing technical priorities within backlog  
- Strong communication skills with ability to align the organization on complex technical decisions 
- Preferable you have a strong knowledge working with COTS products like SAP (S/4 & Ariba)
