Description of the assignment
The assignment entails working with city-wide strategic planning, development, and management of the customer's platforms and IT infrastructure as an IT strategist / service owner. The main focus will be on the management object known as Application Platforms, where the consultant is responsible for ensuring that the platforms and services included in the object are operated, supported, and developed in a way that benefits the customer's digital development in collaboration with the management manager and regular IT strategist / service owner.
The management object includes, among other things, the following areas:
Services for server and application operation (Windows and Linux)
Services for Databases (Microsoft SQL, Oracle)
Citrix-based platform for simplified application access
Microsoft Sharepoint-based e-service platform
Microsoft Sharepoint-based collaboration areas
Based on Microsoft CRM, this platform provides customer care and relationship management.
Microsoft Sharepoint-based enterprise SEARCH platform
E-learning platform
The consultant is in charge of the delivery follow-up in the above-mentioned areas of database services / database hotels, Citrix, CRM, and Platform for e-learning. A significant amount of responsibility will also be placed on collecting and responding to questions and needs from customer operations regarding all areas of Application Platforms, as well as ensuring that documentation / information is available or produced and made available to the operations. This is primarily accomplished in collaboration with the customer's suppliers. The customer outsources a high percentage of its IT operations, and in general, all operations and technical development are handled by the customer's various key suppliers. As a result, supplier follow-up, commercial negotiations, and customer competence are critical components of this assignment.
In addition, the role entails the following responsibilities:
Financial follow-up management in collaboration with the head of administration, within their respective areas of responsibility.
In management, lead projects or project-like activities.
Develop existing services in collaboration with suppliers and in consultation with the customer's operations (typically central system owners).
The consultant is part of a team of IT strategists, architects, and administrative leaders who have a lot of freedom and transparency in other areas related to IT and digitization.
