Let us describe the challenge we offer
Product Area Customer Interactions is responsible for globally delivering and maintaining Digital Products supporting customer touchpoints such as Test drives, Event management, Space operations, and the overall digital experience in our Polestar Spaces where we interact with existing, and new potential customers. Apart from delivering digital products for both internal and external customers we also establish new Polestar Spaces globally, support them and deploy new functionality to existing products.
The Product Area Customer Interactions is part of the Customer Acquisition and Services domain, we deliver digital solutions that enable the acquisition of new customers and services to existing customers. Our primary goal is to provide our customers with a first-class experience in both the physical and digital touchpoints. The domain leverages a best-of-breed of technology, combining bespoke solutions with commercial technologies. The domain is a key enabler of Polestar's overall strategy as a Direct-to-consumer brand and the increasingly important aftermarket business.
This position is located at our Lindholmen office in Gothenburg. We understand that work-life balance isn’t easy, and of course, welcome our employees to work flexible hours and from home a couple of days per week if needed. We believe in empowerment.
What you'll do
Approaching a new challenge and finding the best solution requires a good methodology. Analyzing the big picture, understanding the business, and collaborating with other roles when crafting a solution are key elements for a solution architect. Are you an experienced solution architect who can guide and coach others in arriving at the best solution? And can you make the entire organization work in concert?
Creating new solutions is one part but nevertheless we need to take care of what we’ve built so far. Making sure that out solutions live up to our standards and legal requirements is always necessary. Also supporting team identifying and resolving technical dept is of great importance. You also need to have a strong will to drive the process of finding the best digital solutions for the Customer Interactions Product Area and continuously improve our ways of working.
Decoupling and autonomy are important, our strategy is to make use of serverless and fully managed services in an event-driven microservice architecture without taking on responsibility for infrastructure.
Through your career as a solution architect, you have become confident and colleagues from both business and technology domains turn to you for guidance. You enjoy coaching others and helping them grow more competent. Polestar is treading uncharted grounds and therefore speed; agility and flexibility are key.
Who you are
To succeed in this position, you have previous experience as a Solution Architect from a tech/software context. Preferable within a fast-growing tech company/agency.
Our primary cloud platform is AWS and serverless, where we develop and run our in-house applications. Our technical development makes use of .NET Core, Node.js, Typescript, React.js, GraphQL.
You are most likely a person who is always focused on finding solutions and loves a good problem. Static is boring to you, changes and new information is exciting. The biggest satisfaction you know of is combining your business understanding, technical knowledge and selling the ideas behind your solution using your strong communication skills. You know perfectly well that it doesn’t help to be right about something if you can’t sell it. Addressing business leads and development teams is different and you easily adapt your communication style to create understanding.
To succeed in this role, you can easily communicate with peers globally; primarily in Sweden, China and USA. At Polestar, you will be part of a cross-functional and international team, with English as a natural language for written and spoken communication. Since Polestar’s in a scale-up phase you thrive by working in a fast-paced environment.
If you previously have work with security and compliance topics from a development perspective, it a big plus. An interest of start working with such topics is also great, and we get you onboard with tools and processes.
