Solution Architect to Nordea

Nordea has leading positions within corporate merchant banking as well as retail banking and private banking. It is also the leading provider of life and pensions products in the Nordic countries.
With approximately 800 branches, call centres in all Nordic countries and a highly competitive e-bank, Nordea has the largest distribution network in the Nordic and Baltic Sea region.

Accounting & Group Reporting IT Solutions is responsible for development and improvements in the Group Reporting area. One of the main solutions is the central engine of data sourcing of financial data to both the General Ledger and to the Common Data Warehouse, implemented for all four Nordic banks.

We are now looking for a Solution Architect to our group, having excellent overview about the solution and to contribute towards ongoing major development initiatives.

Your role will be to ensure existing and new solutions and technologies are used in an optimum and value creating way, to support the business need for new functionality, performance, reliability and cost efficiency. You will establish good professional relationships with our internal and external partners and act as sparring partner to business stakeholders, IT experts, developers, IT line managers and project managers during development and maturation phases.

As Solution Architect you will secures that development and maintenance is done in an optimal way. Development services are with offshore partners and it is important that you are open to work cross-border / cross cultures with colleagues to drive the right long-term architecture.

The position is permanent and based in Stockholm or Sundsvall.

Experience and background
In order to be successful you need to have several years of experience in systems development life-cycle with good architectural understanding, to be able to take decisions on best architecture. Your technical skills should cover various technical platforms and you have good understanding of mainframe.

We expect that you have excellent documentation skills and have experience to drive pre-studies and holding workshops. The work includes many interactions internally and externally, why good communication skills, possibility to coach people, and well spoken and written English is necessary.

Your educational background is a relevant Bachelors/Master's degree or the equivalent experience. It is a great advantage if you have experience and/or interest within banking or accounting.
