Solution Area Owner

GKN Aerospace Engine Business Line is growing and consists of sites spread over Europe, America & Asia. Part of the transformation into a globally connected enterprise is to create one common PLM backbone for the entire engines business line to manage product related data throughout the lifecycle.
As part of this global development we are now looking for a Solution Area Owner working with development of PLM solutions for Access Management, Export Control and Intellectual Properties for all engines business line sites in our organization.
As a Solution Area Manager with the focus area Teamcenter d connected applications, you are part of a Team responsible for sustaining PLM solutions related to Teamcenter as well as other supporting applications within the PLM Suite. Within the team you will focus on the overall Sustain and Maintain PLM environment for Engine Business line.
This include daily Support & Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, Training as well as participation in PLM Roadmap project Execution. Within the PLM domain the Solution Area Owner will have dedicated specialist areas.
We also see that you uphold daily PLM operations (sustain maintain) to support all end users and act as the application specialist for Teamcenter with focus on the given area by monitoring, supporting and mentoring the end users in their daily operations.
You will also participate in global experts forum for defined Teamcenter areas as well as continuously develop and improve existing PLM environment.
As a part of the job you will Interact with business users, solution architects and developers to understand processes and requirements, you will participate and support agreed development project activities, contribute to verification and roll out improvements in accordance with an agile methodology.
We see that you have a MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering
We also see that you have at least 5 years experience within the Aerospace Industry. You also have capability to identify and work with key internal and external stakeholders. You have extensive knowledge within Export Control.
It is also good if you have:
Teamcenter experience in the areas of document management, part management, BOM, BOP/Routing management and access control (ITAR).
Knowledge in agile execution of continuous improvements
Knowledge/Understanding for how to work within PLM Operations (Sustain/Maintain)
Excellent verbal and written communication in English
Business Process Improvement or Lean exposure
Quality System knowledge
Ability to travel with occasional travel overseas
