Where you’ll belong

At Sustainability Centre we are responsible for the climate impact of our products and setting the goals for how to fulfill the company's sustainability goals. Since our products are becoming increasingly connected and software, data, and AI will be critical for innovation and new value creation to enable a rapid transformation for our business. The importance of data will increase and will enable a successful digital transformation. We need to Incorporate sustainability in everything we do and increase customer awareness and user experience of Sustainability.

In this role, you will be a Solution Business Architect working in a group with Sustainability Architects and Technical Specialists within the strategy team called Sustainability Architecture Team at Sustainability Center. You will work closely with the development teams within Product Creation (R&D), but also with other parts of our global organization. 

Your Contribution

Collaboration with partners and suppliers to get data from external parties is critical for our sustainability transformation. You will be part of setting the long-term visions for creating an ecosystem for data from a high-level perspective and defining what challenges need to be addressed next as well as driving the change across the company. 

How can we as a company be fully transparent with our sustainability ambitions and make sure we have a solid plan for environmental transparency with a foundation in science? For Volvo Cars to reach its desired position as a leader in sustainability, we must include several different aspects related to data to create insights around our products' performance and how they are being used to be able to constant improvements to our offerings. 

Expert knowledge in the area of Sustainability is of course crucial to achieving the above, but also by an intense internal agile cross-functional cooperation in the company by alignment of all technical areas and business to reach our visions. And this is where you come in with your knowledge and experience. 

In close cooperation with other experts within Sustainability Center, Global Sustainability Team, and Procurement Sustainability Team you will deliver activities and roadmaps. 

As a Solution Business Architect, you will be a key catalyst to drive the digital roadmap within this area and your roles and responsibilities entail:
Contribute to the technical strategy that describes how today’s vehicles will evolve towards the increased use of digital solutions
* Support teams in requirement setting and breakdown of future digital needs
* Actively co-operate with others cross-functionally to ensure that we identify and remove roadblocks from our strategic Sustainability plan.
* Within the area support, review, and advise the Volvo organization cross-functionally on requirements, specifications, and IT tools. 


Your skills: 
* Experience in Business analysis and sustainability
* Experience from ecosystems for data and modern digital solutions
* Capability to initiate, develop and drive cross-functional work. 
* Customer understanding and experience of complete vehicle product development.
* High level of communication through active listening, dialogue, and feedback.


Your experience: 
Knowledge in digital solutions development and technology strategies and sustainability. 
Experience in project leading. 
Experience of sustainability innovation.

Your education: 
University degree, minimum Master of Science degree or equivalent within the area of digital development, preferable with environmental/sustainability.
