Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Do you want to join our journey in the transformation to a completely sustainable transport system by leading the first novel technologies in to commercial test with customers and partners in both public and private sector to reduce the first barriers?
You will have the unique possibility to lead the assignments to understand the full value of our product from start to end.
Are you the motivated and dedicated Solution Concept Leader we are looking for?
The purpose of this role is to manage the work to create conceptual products in order to answer our questions regarding business models, customers and other stakeholders’ needs in the new sustainable ecosystem.
This is a new area and we are about to build a new diversified team where we share competence and learn together. You will have the possibility to affect and develop both the position and the way of working in the team.
Your main tasks
•Coordinate development of prototype products (trucks, busses, charges and services) with resources from R&D, Customized vehicle department and external partners.
•Combine the learnings Scania needs to learn with the Pilot Partner customers’ needs in order to provide the right test fleet for our operation.
•Manage the learnings from our test fleet.
•Contribute in creating the right specifications and support technical and commercial questions
•Coordinate the order to production process from tender to delivery.
•Make sure that we deliver the trucks on time with the right quality. A hands on approach can be needed in the end.
Within the team we also:
•Manage Internal and external projects that explore the world of e-mobility.
The team
You will be part of building a new diversified team with 5-8 people.
We deliver systematic sustainable transport solutions for the pioneers. Our focus is to test new products on selected partners in order to fill our knowledge gaps in the new sustainable transport business to boost the sales of electrified vehicles and create a partnership for long term learning.
This is mostly done by producing early stage vehicles to customers. Our mission is to make sure that we develop and deliver the right product for this by using internal and external resources.
Profile
To be successful in this position, you need to be a dedicated team player, service minded and determined. You find it easy to collaborate with others and are also comfortable with working independently. You can identify unspoken needs, and find solutions and opportunities. You have a mindset to succeed and have easy to see new opportunities.
Requirements
•We think you have a technical university degree or similar and have some years of work experience within R&D or Industrial Operation.
•You also have experience from the heavy truck industry
•It is an advantage if you have a good understanding of vehicle or power electronics
•A generalist with broad technical leadership skills
•Your English language skills are on a very high level and Swedish is a merit
