Solution Design Engineer (SDE)

As our solution design engineer you will for example work with selling and promoting Ascoms products and services. You will also work with marketing and the sales team to develop sales tools to assist our sales and resellers (where applicable) in learning and presenting the Ascom solution portfolio. The Solution Design Engineer is responsible for delivering correct and viable design solutions and is the one who makes the technical approval of offers.

This is a permanent position that can be based in Gothenburg, Stockholm or Jönköping in Sweden.
Responsibilities
Develop the expertise to effectively demonstrate our products and services to potential and existing customers. 
Provide internal and external technical support and expert training during pre and post sales of products and solution packages.
Gather, analyze, and share technical information and feedback.
Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments.
Provide entry level feedback to Product Manager of emerging customer requirements and new vertical markets.
Qualifications 
Bachelor of Science or equivalent preferred
Good ICT skills, university level preferred
Entry level wireless certifications (e.g. CWNA) and/or
Entry level networking certifications (e.g. CCNA)
Fluent in Swedish and English, speech and writing.
Meritorious 
Certified according to ISTQB/ISEB Foundation tester.
Working experience with server hardware and Microsoft Windows Server operating systems
Working experience with networking equipment
Working experience in telecommunications systems (Cisco, Avaya, etc.)
Clinical Solutions knowledge
TCP/IP Networking
Wireless Networking
Basic telephony knowledge
Working  experience in a customer support role utilizing phone, e-mail and web-based systems
Personal skills
