Our PDG Solutions department, develops products and solution for the Ericsson Cloud Core – one cloud packet core for all accesses and services, with dual-mode operations, 4G and 5G. E.g. we deliver Massive IOT, Mobile Broadband, Enterprise Core, etc. What we do is a vital part of the accelerating digital transformation, building our networked society where everything and everyone that can be connected will be connected.
We are also responsible for developing the Continuous Delivery & Deployment (CD&D) for all Packet Core Products as well as Integration and verification of features in an end-2-end network.
Solution Development Engineer to 5G Cloud Core I&V (NIV)
We are a very important part of the quality assurance activities of our products. You will be engaged in the end-to-end integration, troubleshooting and verification (testing) of core nodes as well as well as mobiles and radio (RAN). You will be responsible writing test documentation like Test Analysis, Test Specification and Test Reports. What is really great is that you, in your daily work, will build a unique competence in the deployment and function of our core network elements. We expect that you are a person that likes to make things work as you will surely need to do a lot of troubleshooting when integrating and setting up for test of feature/functions in an e2e environment. We work in teams, planning our jobs together and share with each other the progress. We have tools that we have developed ourselves and would therefore really want you to have skills in Python to further enhance our capability in this area.
You will be part of a very skilled team and be based in Göteborg, Lindholmen (Sweden).
Our expectations on you:
Experience from Software testing in complex Linux/UNIX environments
Experience from Troubleshooting (and you should like it!) in Linux environments
Experience working with TCP/IP networking, and with tools like Wireshark, etc.
General shell scripting competence, e.g. BASH and good competence in Python.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements
M.Sc. or B.Sc. in the Computer, Electrical or Telecommunication Science or similar relevant areas
Good written and spoken English
