Solution Engineer

In this role, you will be a part of a global team of Solution Engineers and Solution Leaders working within the global Transport Management environment for the Volvo Group.


Role mission & context
As the Solution Engineer, you are the link between the business stakeholders and Solution management/IT development. You will perform business analysis and ensure that the solution's requirements are clear and accurate, providing business/process knowledge and solution expertise within the solution delivery team or in a project. You also perform functional business solution support and secure that the users have a high-quality, user-friendly application that supports the end-to-end processes.


Key responsibilities:
Provide process and functional application support (business solution support) within the dedicated solution area
Support continuity management for the solution(s)
Be a Subject Matter Expert within a dedicated solution area
Review of business processes and requirements and provide your expertise on their impact on the overall solution
Consult prioritization of changes in the solutions
Cooperation with Transport Management stakeholders across Volvo and external vendors responsible for solutions development
Participate as a Solution Expert in business activities/projects and provide support judgement
Execute training together with process and solution key users
Develop, automate, and execute test cases



Critical competencies and skills for the position:
Logistics/Supply Chain senior experience is a must
Experience with Oracle Transportation Management in cloud is a must
Experience in working in the Product oriented Teams
A good understanding of both business and IT and the capability to actively use Information Technology to develop the business.
Good understanding of process and solution dependencies
Proven track of record of working in project implementation and functional development
Complete proficiency in English is a must
Excellent communication and presentation skills
