We are a team located in Skövde dedicated to global deliveries and IT solutions in the manufacturing area in the Volvo Group. In daytime support team (ARC) we manage the 3rd line runtime and support for production critical applications in more than 20 factories around the globe. Our IT delivery specializes on globally appointed MES IT solutions within the Volvo Group and you will work primarily at our office in Skövde together with 4 team member to provide the best possible runtime and support.
Solution Engineer for daytime runtime & support team
As Solution Engineer you will work with 3rd line support for in-house Volvo applications like the ECS portfolio and FCS and you will have interactions with our users globally to provide a high-quality delivery with minimal production disturbances. You will have opportunities to influence our way or working and drive continuous improvements and actions in the IT transformation journey together with the team and we will provide a great place for you to both work and grow.
In this role, you will be a key member a team of ~4 people focusing on incident and problem management and you will also be a part of a bigger team of 10-15 people with a focus on IT systems for manufacturing follow-up, traceability data, maintenance, and remanufacturing.
Responsibilities
Act on IT incidents and request:
- Troubleshooting in log files
- Edit data in databases
- Restart application services
- Teach end-users how and when to use complex end-user functions
Cooperate with in-house developers to find root causes and recommend bug fixes
Work together with other IT and business functions to prevent reoccurring incident
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of IT experience, preferably in a global context.
Previous knowledge about runtime and support Volvo Group Manufacturing applications is highly valued
Relevant experiences and knowledge of incident and problem management
Good ability to communicate and work in teams
Fluent English in written and spoken form
Relevant university degree
Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment
Swedish work permit
Fluent Swedish in written and spoken form (additional languages are also a plus)
