Solution Engineer for “Dealer Facing Team”

Manufacturing and Logistics Solutions is a global unit within Group IT. The mission of the unit is to ensure that the Volvo Group´s IT solutions and IT projects within the area of PRD (Produce and Distribute Products) are managed in an optimal way.
Solution Center Service Market Logistics (SC SML) is a function in Manufacturing and Logistics Solutions managing the IT solutions used by GTO Service Market Logistics and all Volvo Group brands and Business Areas.
We are now looking for a Solution Engineer (Business Analyst) for our Dealer Facing team within SC SML.

Wanted profile
As Solution Engineer for the Dealer Facing team, you will be responsible for managing requirements, documentation and business support for our two dealer facing solutions “Parts LinQ DFS” and “Parts Online”, used globally by our customers.
Since you are part of a global unit you actively cooperate with various stakeholders and navigate with ease in a multi-cultural environment. It is important you have an innovative and creative mind-set in order to inspire and challenge in your organization. You also have a strong quality focus and a personal drive to reach the objectives and targets set for your unit, understanding how these contribute to the Volvo Group vision and strategy.
Position description
Collaborate with key stakeholders in the organization to conduct requirements elicitation and guide them as they work with key information sets to gain business insights
Secure that requirements are documented in a good way and can efficiently be interpreted by both the customer and IT
Provide business competencies to key projects, rollouts and daily operations
Perform end user studies and do prototyping based on the collected end user needs and business goals
Dare to challenge and to be challenged, listen and take into consideration. Balance technical solution towards business needs to find the best solution.
Ensure we align solution with global processes
Continuously work to improve existing ways of working
Required competencies
University degree in Computer Science or similar
Experience as Software Engineer/Business Analyst and domain knowledge from aftermarket (SML) and optionally also dealer facing solutions
Capacity to have a holistic viewpoint on things
A global and agile mindset with strong customer focus
A team player, energized by working in team
Excellent in documentation
Have capacity to execute against set targets and a “can do” attitude
Customer business knowledge - Build, develop and grow business relationships
Experience from software engineering and agile development is considered a merit
Good planning skills
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Location: Flexible
Travel required: Occasional
