About Us

At Vehicle Technology, you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry, and society at large. As part of the Portfolio & Solution Management team, you will help us accelerate our journey by leading the engineering work of exciting new technologies with global reach. Be part of our evolution as we strengthen our team! Bring your love of developing Electrical and Electronics systems, working collaboratively, and your advanced skills to a place where you can make an impact and grow!

Your future team

The Portfolio & Solution Management Team is located in Göteborg and part of the Business, Architecture, Services and Connectivity (BASC) organization within Technology. Today we are around five solution managers in the team, but we have a lot of exciting development in front of us and need to expand. In addition, the team has the responsibility to coordinate Technologies' product development portfolio including for example prioritization of work. Continuous improvement is part of our daily work and in our team a couple of persons are dedicated to coaching and leading Technologies' Way of Working in a large scaled hybrid-agile development environment.

What’s in it for you?

As a Solution Manager, you will have the overall lead of SW and HW development within Vehicle Technology for larger initiatives impacting the EE platform. In early phases, you may work with supporting scope definitions and alignment with EE roadmaps. You will be working in close cooperation with solution architects and stakeholders from across multiple agile Technology streams as well as being the interface towards other Volvo development organizations and business areas. Your responsibility is to secure that the identified solutions fulfill the intent of the customer. You secure that the scope is broken down to the different technology streams in one or several Epics. You set the milestones and act as a servant leader to Epic owners and the teams while managing extensive stakeholder communication clearly and professionally. You support the portfolio managers with prioritization needs and cost estimations. During the development, you secure that the deliveries are performed in line with agreed plans, quality- and cost targets with proactive management of top risks, deviations, and dependencies.

We offer a solid package of compensation and benefits. In addition, you will enjoy an open atmosphere with supporting colleagues and fantastic opportunities to develop in your role, build a career, work cross-functionally and globally!

Who are you?

We think you have a BSc or Msc in Computer/Electronics Engineering or equivalent, strong project management skills and experience (5-10 years), good knowledge and experience in agile ways of working with embedded SW development and electrical systems in the automotive industry. You are an excellent communicator, have the ability to encourage people, set and show clear directions. You are comfortable and experienced with leading vertically across the organization to reach expected results, i.e. you can motivate teams towards challenging targets and are used to manage communication and presentations to line management and other stakeholders. You always strive to develop further in your role. You need to be both engineering and business/customer-oriented. Since you will interact in an international environment, being fluent in both spoken and written English is required.

Ready for the next move?

If you want to make a real impact in your career, the transportation business is where you want to be! We look forward to meeting you! Come and join us in a call or for a cup of coffee to discuss how we can help each other on our journey together!
