Solution Specialist

The CBR (Core Business Range) PMO ​purpose is to support Range Innovation and Development council (RIDC), in robust decision-making in line with the strategic goals. The CBR PMO provides simplicity, transparency and visibility on the total portfolio including gaps and opportunities. This facilitates RIDC to plan, prioritize and to focus on development efforts within Core Business Range. The CBR PMO is tracking and reporting business performance within the scope of RIDC from idea to value realization, through collaborations across core businesses and CBR units. 

We are looking for a Solution Specialist  

The Solution Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of the IKEA portfolio management system, Planview, in the CBR PMO. Be accountable for providing technical support to the PMO staff and act as an expert when improvements are required. The Solution Specialist is also in charge of implementing new system updates into the day-to-day work of the CBR PMO in a timely manner with minimal impact on business and for planning and executing training program(s) for new end-users, followed up by onboarding support. 

Furthermore, you will: 

• maintain and optimize the portfolio management system (Planview), supporting the CBR PMO to achieve technical excellence in managing the CBR portfolio  

• be part of the Planview network across the core business units, propose and submit change requests in alignment with the CBR PMO needs  

• take lead in implementation of Planview´s new releases in the CBR and secure related training to utilize full potential of all features in the system  

• take part and assume responsibility in various efficiency projects for all aspects related to the system usage 

• be an active member of the various Planview forums by representing CBR PMO and updating stakeholders with relevant information about the situation in the unit 

This position is placed in Älmhult, Sweden. 

We believe you are a driven, efficient and structured solution specialist with a good knowledge of Portfolio Management. Excellent/very good knowledge of Planview and very good knowledge of change management and implementation principles including ways of working. 

You also have knowledge of best practice for creation and delivery of various reports utilizing Planview features and good knowledge about Power BI and working in data pools.

It would be a great advantage if you have 3-5 years’ experience of a similar position and working with Planview. 

In your role as solution specialist, you will work with a lot of different stakeholders and great colleagues across the globe, where your ability to communicate complex topics in a simple way will be key.  

We also wish you to have/to be:  
Good knowledge of Portfolio Management  
Good/very good knowledge of Planview   
Very good knowledge of change management, implementation principles and ways of working 
Knowledge of best practice for creation and delivery of various reports utilizing Planview features 

Good knowledge about Power BI and working in data pools 
Very good communication skills 
Fluent in English (in writing and verbal) 
Bachelor’s degree in data science or equivalent  
At least 3 years of experience with Planview or equivalent portfolio management systems 

Experience in creating reports and portfolio management related queries  
Familiar with the IKEA values 
And of course, building relationships and co-operating with co-workers and people in different units and cultures. To be interested in leading and implementing change.
