Solution Train Engineer

Are you our next leader? Do you want to be a part of our development of the future transport system? We are now looking for a servant leader to become our new Solution Train Engineer (STE) within Autonomous Transport Solutions (ATS). The STE is a part of the solution team that works tight together with the Portfolio level and the different Agile Release Trains. The STE is also a part of the Portfolio working group.   

As an STE you become a part of Scania Project Office. Scania Project Office is managing Scania’s large cross-functional development projects and Agile Value Streams. Within the project office, we are working with all stages of the development process and with participation from all parts of the company. The department values leadership skills and our strengths are teamwork and personal development. Respect for the individual and the importance of balancing workload and spear time is core for us.

The STE is also part of the Lean-Agile mindset journey at Scania, coaching leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in the new processes and mindsets.

 Your daily work

Every day at work you will influence Scania’s future by your servant leadership, coaching your team, colleagues, and managers towards Scania’s Vision.

As an STE you are a part of a Solution team, which is the central team for the direction of the development. In the solution team, you have the possibility to work with strategy as well as the details.

STE role within the ATS is to facilitate processes and execution, escalate impediments, manage risk, help ensure value delivery within the value stream. The STE is also responsible for integration with other value streams and umbrella projects. The work within the Solution team involves working closely together with other leading roles from another part of the company (R&D, purchasing, production, marketing, etc ) and you have regular communication with Scania and TRATON management.    

Your profile

We are looking for you that are searching for new efficient ways of working, at the same time using the processes and WoW that exists. You need to like a dynamic world where agile and conventional development methods co-exist.  

You have a relevant education from the university, Certified RTE/STE, several years of experience from Agile-lean development and project management. A plus is an experience from the Scania PD process. Excellent servant leadership skills are a must to be able to work within the value stream.    

As a person, you are engaged and structured. You have your team's well-being and performance in focus and work as a servant leader to fill the gaps needed for the Solution to deliver value. With your eminent communication skills, you can easily interact with different persons in different positions within the company. You need to be comfortable with presenting and facilitating larger groups in English (written and orally).
