Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.Are you our next leader? Do you want to be a part of our development of the future transport system? We are now looking for a servant leader to become our new Solution Train Engineer (STE) within Autonomous Transport Solutions (ATS). The STE is a part of the VCF (Value Creation Flow) Management that works tightly together with the Business, the Solution Development Table and the different VCTs (Value Creation Team). The STE is also a part of the Autonomous Domain Management Team.
As an STE you become a part of the Scania Project Office but will also have a strong connection to the Autonomous Strategy Section within R&D. The STE is also part of the Lean-Agile mindset journey at TRATON, coaching leaders, RTEs (Release Train Engineer) and Scrum Masters in the new processes and mindsets.
Your daily work
Every day at work you will influence TRATON’s future through your servant leadership, coaching your team, colleagues, and managers towards our ATS Vision.
As an STE you are a part of the VCF Management, which is the central team setting the direction of the Flow. In the VCF Management, you have the possibility to influence strategy as well as details.
The STE role within the ATS is to facilitate processes and organization – drive execution, escalate impediments, manage risk and help ensure value delivery within the value stream. You do this on a tactical horizon, running the 10-week Product Increments, but also on the strategic horizon, adapting the process and organization to the challenges ahead. The STE is also responsible for integration with other value streams and umbrella projects within TRATON. The work within the VCF Management involves working closely together with other leading roles from other parts of the company (business, R&D, purchasing, production etc) and you have regular communication with Scania, MAN, Navistar and TRATON management.
Your profile
We are looking for someone who is passionate about new efficient ways of working, using the existing processes whilst altering what is needed to change. You feel comfortable in a dynamic world where agile and conventional development methods co-exist.
You have a relevant education from the university, Certified RTE/STE and several years of experience in Agile-lean development and/or project management. A plus is an experience in the Scania/MAN PD (Product Development) process. Excellent servant leadership skills are necessary to be able to work within the value stream.
As a person, you are engaged and structured. You have your team's well-being and performance in focus and work as a servant leader to fill the gaps needed for the Solution to deliver value. With your eminent communication skills, you can easily interact with different persons in various positions within the company. You are comfortable leaving the brand scope and think a global TRATON solution. You need to be comfortable with presenting and facilitating large groups in English (written and oral).
