Solutions Architect

The Solutions Architects (SAs) work with customers who are just beginning their journey with Databricks, working interactively with clients to help them solve their most important data challenges. Every SA gains expertise with Databricks products, as well as techniques in data science and data engineering. Our SAs have the freedom to pursue career development in specialist areas that interest them, and we invest time and budget into their learning and development plans.


Tasks:
• Be a thought leader in the sphere of big data analytics
• Be an expert on issues of architecture, design, implementation and deployment
• Lead your prospects through understanding, evaluating and adopting Databricks
• Support your customers by authoring reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications
• Successfully integrate Databricks with 3rd-party applications to support customer architectures
• Engage with the technical community through leading workshops, seminars and meet-ups
• Form successful relationships with clients throughout your assigned territory


Competencies:
• An ability to clearly communicate technical concepts, including presenting and whiteboarding
• A strong track record of working with clients to make them successful
• Ability to design and implement architectures within a public cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Some experience writing Spark code in either Python or Scala
• A core strength in either data engineering or data science
• An undergraduate degree in computer science or another science, technology, engineering and mathematics subject
