GENERAL SUMMARY: Works with the prospect's business managers and technical architectural team, clearly describing the features and functionality of Sterling Commerce's product suite through presentations and product demonstrations. Must have the ability to clearly and succinctly describe both the business and technical advantages of the proposed solution. Responsible for all technical aspects of the sales process including validation of technical proof points, the development of data integration Proof of Concepts, product demonstrations and technical presentations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Responsible for providing and presenting technical and business information for all Sterling Commerce products to all buying influences in any organisation. * Effectively and proficiently describes functionality, provides details as to product features, competitive analysis, demonstrates, installs and supports Sterling Commerce products to ensure a technical win is obtained. * Responsible for analysing sales prospects'''''''' requirements and presenting the technical information necessary for prospects to successfully implement Sterling Commerce solutions. * Creates and delivers demonstrations, presentations, proof of concepts and/or prototypes that map the features/benefits of Sterling Commerce solutions to prospects specific needs. * Responds to the technical sections of RFI/RFPs. * Provides on going technical support to well qualified prospects conducting evaluations. This may include training, programming of examples, third party software integration, trouble-shooting and best practices consulting. * Provides product feedback from customers. PREFERED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Swedish and English are a must. * Experience developing and presenting clear and concise product briefings. * Understanding of business process modelling and associated technologies (e.g. BPML). * Competency in Java based environments and J2EE design and development. * Experience of Internet software development (XML, XPATH, XFORMS) * Experience of Windows and Unix, as well as AS/400 and IBM mainframe operating systems. * Understanding of internet communications and security * Experience in wide range of third party applications (e.g. ERP, CRM). * Knowledge of databases (Oracle, SQL server, DB2) * Knowledge of emerging technologies (e.g. Web services) * Understanding of general EAI and B2B concepts. * EDI Experience * Must be available for extensive travel MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelors Degree in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Minimum experience For Consideration: 2 years experience in an integration environment. Desirable: Ability to communicate in other Nordic languages (Danish, Norwegian, and/or Finnish) is an advantage Due to the central theme of Sterling Commerce solutions (total integration of business processes, internal and external to the enterprise) it is essential, not only to have an advanced knowledge of Sterling Commerce products, but also to possess the ability to master a broad range of software languages, operating systems, databases, packaged applications and development environments.
