S&OP Manager to one of our customer

To one of our customer we are looking for a S&OP Manager for a long assignment.

The Sales and Operations Planning Process is one of the key success factors for managing the company's sales and operations planning process, which involves creating and executing plans that optimize the production, inventory, and distribution of goods and services.

The Sales and Operations Planning Lead will work closely with the executive team, sales, marketing, and operations departments to ensure that the company's sales and operations plans align with customer demand and are executed in a cost-effective manner. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of operational processes, excellent project management and communication skills.

One of the most important attributes is the ability to work across silos with people from different areas to communicate common goals, request information, and gain consensus. The person in this role engages at all levels of the organization and guides each functional area in understanding how it impacts and contribute s to the S&OP process. Earning respect from the team members and building trust is critical in eliminating departmental boundaries to facilitate successful collaboration across the organization.

Core responsibilities of the Sales & Operations Planning Manager:

Develop and implement Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) strategies to ensure alignment between demand, supply, and financial plans.

Review and analyze the forecast demand versus actual demand, understanding changes and trends.

Notify Scheduling and Manufacturing of significant forecast or capacity changes on a timely basis.

Communicate with Manufacturing about large projects, new products forecasts, and launch timing updates.

Facilitate monthly demand forecast aggregation, including consensus between functions and stakeholders.

Facilitate and document regular scheduled planning meetings.

Prepare and present reports, forecasts, and recommendations to the S&OP global executive team.

Create and drive continuous improvement of demand planning and S&OP processes.

Measure, control, and improve S&OP plan accuracy through clearly defined metrics.

Technical Skills:

Working knowledge of modern manufacturing, material flow and improvement.

Understanding of financial systems and the key cost drivers within the manufacturing environment.

Understanding and experience of applicable computer systems.

Proficiency with SAP software (beneficial)
