Avalanche Studios are hiring! We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sound Designer to help create our next big action title! Since our humble beginnings in 2003, we have grown to become one of the world's leading independent studios. After two hit games based on our original IP Just Cause, we are now moving in a new and exciting direction in action games. For us to reach our set goal and to create something extraordinary, we need talented, creative and disciplined developers. As an Avalanche employee you will work as part of a cross functional team together with some of the most talented and experienced individuals in the gaming industry. The studio's projects vary between small online games to huge boxed products. We work using a Scrum/agile process with a continuous development of methods, tools and technology. As a member of the sound team, you will enjoy working with many and varied parts of sound design, both in the studio and on various field recording sessions. You will always be encouraged to pursue own ideas and special interest within your areas of expertise. You will be part of a tight and highly motivated team that strives to create the best sound experiences possible in games. Responsibilities include: designing sounds, integration of sounds into the game, scripting; field recordings, mixing etc Qualifications: . Minimum of 2 years working as a sound designer in the games industry. . Great skills, and interest, in Sound Design. This is not a music composer position. . Great understanding of sound designing for games, and the stages involved in taking your design all the way in to the game. . Familiar with working in Fmod Designer. . Fluent in common audio tools and software (Cubase, ProTools, Wavelab, Sound Forge etc) . Strong organizational skills. . Highly motivated and good at communicating and working within cross-discipline teams. Advantage: . Scripting and programming skills.
