Arbetsbeskrivning
How to keep Audio fresh after 1,000+ hours of playtime? At Paradox Audio, that’s the main driver that influences every decision we make. We believe our players deserve to get an engaging, dynamic soundscape that will provide the best audio feedback while continuously evolving with each story they decide to play out in any of our titles.
Your mission
You will be tasked with forging that soundscape through producing, implementing, and mixing sound effects, music, and dialogue. You’ll be collaborating with Audio Directors as well as fellow sound designers, composers, content designers, game designers, artists, programmers, etc., for a variety of projects across all of Paradox Development Studios.
You are a specialist in your field and own your work, so we trust you to funnel all the wisdom and skill that you’ve developed through your previous game audio seasons and help us achieve greatness.
This means: being responsible for the sound creation from beginning to end, working with audio libraries, recording equipment, or any new approach you might bring with you. We encourage curiosity, embracing change, and learning from mistakes. We serve our development and marketing teams and engage in several other audio initiatives across the organization. We strive to make others better and get shit done. Our team structure offers you an opportunity to influence high-level decisions and push yourself to learn skills you lack.
The skills we’re searching for...
Experience working as a sound designer in the games industry.
Knowledgeable in sound design and implementation and the stages game audio goes through from start to finish.
Experience with authoring and mixing in surround formats.
Experience with Wwise and FMOD.
Experience scripting game audio into a project.
Strong organizational skills, documentation, and verbal communication skills.
Experience working with cross-discipline teams
We would love to hear if you share our passion for Game Audio, and are looking for an opportunity to challenge yourself further. A great sound designer needs focus and sharp critical listening skills, while also being independent in problem-solving, and highly adaptable. However, it takes a team to prevail, and in roundtable discussions, we thrive. Everyone’s ideas are equally valued, and we're looking forward to hearing your thoughts on what we can do better and how!
