Sound Designer

Box Dragon is a new PC game development studio founded by game dev veterans from Riot Games and Stunlock Studios. We’re located in Gothenburg and backed by Coffee Stain. Our team has over 30 years combined game dev experience and each member of our team comes from a different background.
We each bring something unique to the table and we have a passion for sharing stories. We make games around the idea of novel fun for our players; we craft emergent experiences in stylized worlds supported by system-driven gameplay. As the Sound Designer at Box Dragon, you will combine audio and technology to communicate ideas and feelings. You will collaborate closely with an experienced and passionate team of programmers, designers and artists in order to bring our original game world to life and help define the overall player experience.
We’re a small team, so you will have the opportunity to express yourself in your work and hone your craft by working on a wide variety of challenges.
This is a permanent full-time in-studio position based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Kindly submit a demo reel or portfolio with your application.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Game Director and rest of team to define the vision for our soundscape
Create quality sound effects (studio/foley recordings, synthesis techniques), and/or utilize pre-recorded in-house and commercial material
Work with the team to ensure game audio achieves the desired aesthetic, whilst adhering to any technical constraints imposed
Implement assets into Wwise, ensuring they perform as intended in-game
Design and implement dynamic audio assets/systems
Edit, process and implement voice-over

Requirements
Previous experience from a major production through to release
Relevant degree in a Music/Audio field, or the equivalent work experience
Experience with recording (both studio and field recording techniques), signal flow, processing, and mixing
Extensive knowledge of any DAW software
Excellent communication skills in English, our company language, which will enable you to collaborate effectively with your peers
