Sourcing Analyst

Sandvik Mining is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry. The offering covers rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling and materials handling.

Global Sourcing's Processes and Performance unit develops sustainable and efficient processes and provides IT requirements that support achievement of operational excellence. We are responsible for Global Sourcing Business Control Processes, ensuring on-time reporting of Global Sourcing's consolidated actual performance, forecasts and targets, while supporting the operations with analysis, advice and tools to optimize performance.

We are currently looking for a Sourcing Analyst, who will work closely with the Global Sourcing Management Team, with KPI reporting and follow-up of costs. The location for this position is flexible, but working in Sandviken one week per month will be necessary if located elsewhere.

Key performance areas
As Sourcing Analyst you work with monthly KPI reporting and follow-up of budgets and costs. You will administer all performance metrics as delivery time and supplier quality. You will conduct spend analysis and opportunity assessment working according to processes, leveraging systems and tools.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a relevant degree. A degree in Industrial Engineering or a similar field is advantageous; as is experience with analysis, sourcing and KPI follow-up. Skills in Excel and PowerPoint are prerequisite for the position, while knowledge of QlikView and Lotus Notes is advantageous. You have good communication skills in English.

You are analytical and thorough, with the ability to work well in a team. As your work will involve contacts with people around the world, you need to be at ease with having discussions via telephone, face-to-face and e-mail.
