New Business & Innovation (NB&I)

Right now we are looking for a Business Analyst within the NB&I Shared Solutions* team. The Business Analyst position requires passion for, and ability to spot, the business opportunities behind the data and the capability to connect with different stakeholders in the product creation process. The Business Analyst pairs an analytical and business driven mind-set with strong awareness of purchasing and sourcing processes to create insights, translating figures into opportunities to validate and enable fact based decision making within the Shared Solutions group. The Business Analyst is capable of, and responsible for, quickly generating calculations, models and estimations based on limited insights to support the decision making process, often in hectic and time constraint circumstances, while interacting with different stakeholders in the IKEA product development processes, in- and outside NB&I Shared Solutions. Networking and connecting different inputs and views in a creative manner are key tasks for the Business Analyst. The position reports to the Product Development Platform Manager within NB&I Shared Solutions.

To be able to deliver in this role, the Business Analyst should have:

-Strong analytical and abstract thinking skills
-Strong business understanding and experience, preferably in a product development setting
-An outgoing personality: interested in meeting different people and creatively combing various input and views
-Strong awareness of sourcing, production and purchasing processes
-A strong drive to deliver result
-The capacity to deliver information for decision making processes on short term
-Strong process and project management skills
-The capacity to steer and work in a developing and changing environment
-Understanding of purchasing, supply chain and development processes
-University degree in technology, business administration or corresponding knowledge

*NB&I Shared Solutions develops solutions that can be used in different product applications and across Home Furnishing Businesses, on behalf of the business areas.
The objective is to build strategic product development platforms to be used as foundation in the majority of our future development of our range offer in order to significantly improve all elements of Democratic Design.
