About this opportunity
We are now looking for a Category Group Manager for Mechanics & Plastics within Network Products Hardware Sourcing. If you want to contribute to the evolution of the Ericsson Radio System in 5G work with one of the most thrilling and demanding businesses within Ericsson - this is the job for you!
We are responsible to lead and secure a world class hardware supplier base supporting market leadership and continuous development of our Radio, RAN Compute, Transport, and Indoor product portfolios.
As the Category Group Manager for Mechanics & Plastics, you will have the following tasks and responsibilities;
Challenge, manage and strategically evolve the Mechanics & Plastics categories (Small Mechanics, Embedded Power, Embedded Climate, Plastics, and Packaging) and its supplier base, to meet the future needs of Ericsson Radio System.
Enable a close collaboration with R&D, Sourcing and Supply to improve the sourcing contribution to the overall business results.
Ensure an effective category management with procurement boards, aligned subcategory strategies to include commercial conditions and strategies and tools for aggressive price, balanced risk exposure and efficient supply setup of HW components and HW solutions to our Ericsson Radio System
Develop competencies that understand category industry trends on the market
Qualifications/ Competence
You enjoy and are confident in driving business evolvement by working with teams and personal networks across multiple sites and disciplines. You are analytical, structural, and result oriented.
Required competence/ experience
Several years of experience working with sourcing operations and proven commercial results.
Business and customers focused with emphasis on seeing the big picture and making decisions.
Strong leadership and change management skills leading to operational excellence.
Exellent written and oral communication skills in English
Experience and/or extensive knowledge of ways of working in R&D and Supply is an advantage
