Sourcing Developer, Bedrooms & Bathrooms

At IKEA of Sweden we develop and make the IKEA range available to stores and customers all over the world. Within the responsibilities of IKEA of Sweden lies the development, sourcing, supply and steering of a unique, competitive and efficient range.
In the Sourcing Developer role you have your feet in the Category and the Home Furnishing Businesses and approach the product range from a material and production perspective. From that position you lead and secure that all products within your area of responsibility are sourced within the category framework. You are responsible for sourcing activities in the product development process evaluating material and choices of technique related to cost, capacity, quality and sustainability and ensuring that product development is in-line with supplier production capabilities.
Assignment
You will work together with Business stake holders in the Business Area and with IKEA Purchasing to find the best business set up with lowest total cost as goal ?Evaluating material and technique choices related to cost, capacity, quality and sustainability ?You will communicate purchase needs and priorities to our Categories and plan capacities ?Actively monitoring markets, competitors and suppliers ?Leading sourcing activities in the product development process securing the development on the factory floor ?Securing that each product has a correct landed price to Retail at lowest Total CostIs this your next challenge?
To be a successful Sourcing Developer we would like you to have 3-5 years of experience in related field of work with proven track record. You may have a university degree in technology, business administration or corresponding knowledge. You have experience of negotiations, knowledge of the global market and supply chain. Since IKEA of Sweden is a truly international environment, you need to be fluent in English, both spoken and written.
As a person, you are highly motivated, decisive and have a strong business drive. You have the ability to foresee the consequences of one?s own actions and act based on high moral and ethical principles. You have an overall view with both operational and tactical thinking.

We are currently recruiting for a full time temporary (12 months) position, based at IKEA of Sweden.
