Sourcing Developer, IKEA Components

IKEA Components AB is looking for a Sourcing Developer

We are now looking for an experienced Sourcing Developer who will lead the sourcing activities for plastic components at IKEA Components.

As a Sourcing Developer for plastic components you have the global strategic sourcing responsibility for the plastic category. You are working closely in a team with a Need Planner and Component Development Engineers.

You actively lead and evaluate quotations for the category on a global level. Cross functionally you are working closely with our different purchasing units in Europe and Asia. The sourcing activities are closely connected to the product development process at IKEA. At the same time you work with developing the running range business to secure best price and availability of your business.

You are leading the work of improving your business through the Purchase Development Process (PDP) and securing that changes are implemented. You are contributing to the creation of strategic business plans for your area. Together with the rest of the team you are responsible for the performance within the category regarding price development, quality performance, delivery performance and sustainability. You are working proactively with risk handling and business contingency plans in order to avoid interruptions in the supply chain. You assign business to the purchasing organisation, establish product development agreements and tool agreements, approve commitments and investments in accordance to authorization level.

To be able to succeed in this position you ideally should have the following qualifications:

?Knowledge and experience from purchasing and value chain on international markets with a proven track record. If you as well have knowledge and experience of e.g. product development, engineering, technical development or production it is a merit
?A strong business drive with high energy and a clear goal focus
?Proficient in English (oral and written)
?A strategic and analytical mindset
?Self going with an ability to take own initiatives. Strong team player. Good ability to build network and work cross functionally. Leadership capabilities.
?Ability to analyze market, technology and macroeconomic developments within your area
?Good communication skills with the ability to communicate in a clear and structured way
?Act based on high moral and ethical principles, sharing the IKEA values
?Commercial and/or technical university degree
?Willingness to occasionally travel international
