Sourcing Director

We are looking for a Sourcing Director with a commercial mindset and experience from sustainable production to be part of our Purchase Team!

You will work closely with the buying team and our sourcing office in Turkey and the Far East, as well as liaising with innovative material developers globally. Reporting to the CEO, this role is a key position at NA-KD and you will have the opportunity to be part of forming it yourself.

The position is based in Sweden at our HQ in Gothenburg with occasional travel to our suppliers and warehouses in the Netherlands and Landskrona, Sweden.

Your future

- Source across raw materials, fabrics & components
- Shape and score vendor portfolio and screen for new vendors based on the category needs including evaluation metrics


- Manage suppliers to ensure lead times and deliveries as well as our highly set standards on sustainability are constantly met
- Ensure order optimization so that the right product is in the right place at the right time while utilizing the correct buying channels and partners
- Negotiating cost and terms with suppliers
- Analyzing product data to forecast volume of materials required
- Balance risk in the production as well as seeking new opportunities in supply chain
- Support design and buying teams to maintain the fabric library, ensuring that it is up to date selected trends, innovations and finishes


Your past & skills

- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 5+ years of sourcing experience preferably to some extent with a focus on sustainable solutions
- Flexible approach to be able to adjust to constantly changing needs of the business
- Fabric Sourcing expertise especially in Far East and Europe
- Highly organized and good prioritization skills
- Confident and clear communication skills to work productively alongside other product teams and external suppliers


- Understanding of garment manufacturing process
- Experience in leading product innovation


- Possesses great contacts with international suppliers and manufacturers
- Strong negotiation skills to get the best price and delivery schedule
- Interest/experience in sustainable garment manufacturing is a plus
