JBT is an international market leading equipment manufacturing company, supplying turn-key solutions  the global food processing industry. We have offices in more than 100 countries all over the world and we have customers like Gunnar Dafgård AB, Fazer Oy and Danish Crown AmbA. As we continue to grow, we are now hiring new people to join our Operations department.

Job Summary

• You will work as a Sourcing Engineer in our Sourcing & Purchasing division in Helsingborg.
• Keeping track of equipment cost-budgets, cost-development and cost deviations.
• This to allow us define necessary actions to improve cost of supply and manufacturing.
• Work aligned with Sales and Applications in the process of pricing equipment (providing accurate cost as input to the pricing process)
• Work aligned with Sourcing, R&D and Manufacturing in implementing Sourcing and Manufacturing practices. For example moving production capacity internally between units
or externally between existing or new suppliers.
• Provide general support to the Sourcing, Project Management and Engineering team with cost analysis.  
• Organize and maintain tooling and other production critical inventories, that are owned by JBT but stationed outside the organization.


Qualifications/Skills Required

This is a new position within our Operations department and we are looking for a person who is a doer with a lot of drive as well as a flexible team player. You take responsibility for everything you do at work and you enjoy challenging yourself.

You have:

• A Degree within Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Several years of experience in the field of manufacturing engineering and insights into cost budgeting or a good interest in “making sense out of numbers”
• Understanding how to work with engineering sourcing and suppliers to achieve targets
• Experience from stainless steel sheet metal design and fabrication
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Fluent in English
