WHAT WILL YOU DO?
This position includes a responsibility to develop Axis’ optical suppliers in Japan and China.
You will collaborate closely with commodity responsible for optics as well as the whole optical commodity team in Lund and help to continuously evaluate and measure existing and potential supplier’s commercial and quality performance.

You will through continuous visits at supplier premises create better understanding for Axis’ requirements on optics in order to make sure the optics used in Axis products are optimized for the specific product from quality, cost and performance perspective. You will also play a vital role in supplier negotiations, providing deep technical knowledge.

You will use your knowledge about cost drivers and production process within optics industry to identify opportunities and drive activities to secure continuous cost- and lead-time reductions on optics.

The position requires quite extensive travelling, approximately 60-70% of the working time, comprising both regular visits to Sweden and supplier visits.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We want you to be hands on, open minded and a team player, who sees the bigger picture and act accordingly.
We want you to have a profound knowledge of optical lens development and also a good knowledge of cost drivers in lens manufacturing. You have to be fluent in both Japanese and English. Some knowledge in Chinese is a plus as well as experience from business culture in Japan and China. You also have a relevant university education.
