Overview
Global Hygiene Supply within SCA is looking for a passionate Sourcing Manager Recovered Fiber to support our Mills in the Nordic region!
Global Hygiene Supply (GHS) organization contributes to making SCA a highly successful global hygiene company by having the safest, most efficient and lowest cost product supply base.
Within GHS, the ambition of Global Sourcing is to be recognized as the driver for best total costs for SCA. Global Sourcing will thereby drive down total costs by managing a sustainable and competitive supply base utilizing appropriate sourcing strategies, processes and resources which support the needs of the business. The position is located in Lilla Edet, Sweden and you will report to Director Operational Sourcing North.



Main Tasks
Develop a long term sustainable recycled paper supply strategy for the Nordic mills.
Maintain a cost effective, efficient and sustainable merchant supply chain that meets the volume , cost and quality needs of the Nordic Businesses
Manage key suppliers and supply contracts to agreed KPIs on Cost, Working Capital and Quality
Lead cost out projects across all recovered paper mills in the Nordic Region.
Work closely with the Sites and Sales Organisations to develop where appropriate long term ‘closed loop’ agreements with Major customers


Provide financial and market analysis to the production teams to drive effective decision making
Develop transport strategies and solutions to address supply challenges in the Nordic region.


Actively participate in the Global & European RP network teams.

 
Main accountabilities and responsibilities

Negotiate pricing and tonnage requirements based on market conditions, in accordance with Company procedures.
Perform financial analysis based on mix/yield/price/freight to maximize value of furnish consumed.
Lead long term recycled paper sourcing contract discussions and implementation
Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers to assure proper quality and volume by scheduling inspection tours of recycled paper plants and printing companies to evaluate secondary fiber sources.
Regularly visit recycled paper suppliers, printers and Merchants to determine quality, quantity and costs.
Inspect inventory and address raw material issues within Manufacturing Operations
Contact suppliers and negotiate disposition of rejected or downgraded recycled paper in a prompt and fair manner.

Key Competencies
Solid experience in purchasing with demonstrated procurement competencies
Experience from the paper industry. Understanding of paper mill operations and basic understanding of deinking process
Competent user of SAP and MS office
Relevant educational background
Knowledge of the recycled paper quality control methods
Fluent in English and in Swedish. An additional Nordic language is a merit.
Need to have the ability to travel
