MacGregor is looking for a Sourcing Manager.
In this role you will be responsible for cost-down activities for a specific product or product family and act as Sourcing Relationship Manager (SRM) for certain suppliers within MSD Division Sourcing. You will be also responsible for supplier related spend, contracts and cost down activities.
This position is located in Sweden, preferably in Gothenburg and you will report to the Director, Sourcing.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Your main task will be to identify cost savings and ensure the implementation of such activities, drive cost down activities, new innovations, quality improvements and lead time reductions together with Division Sales, Engineering, R&D and supplier network. You will also identify potential new Suppliers and conduct Supplier selection/evaluation/onboarding according to MacGregor rules and collaborate with MCG Category Sourcing and Division Supply Chain management to drive spend consolidation and resource leveraging.
Other responsibilities:
Responsible to solve delivery, quality or service related problems, when escalated
Developing and implementing annual budgets, action plans and cost saving strategies to achieve desired savings targets
Making yearly purchase agreements including fabrication contract
Developing partnership relationships with suppliers
Responsible for ensuring risk management is handled according to scope of responsibility –financial control etc
Promotes and implement Supply Chain Financing to improve cash flow.
What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
Commercial or Technical background, B.Sc. or equivalent experience.
Experience:
5+ years of in International sourcing and Supplier Management in global environment
Experience in working with global and cross-cultural teams
Supplier scouting, evaluation, onboarding and ramp-up
Negotiation, contract development and agreement signing
Experience with Sourcing strategy implementation
Cross functional Cost Down activities
Relevant industry experience preferred, preferable project based maritime and/or heavy industry.
Competencies:
Solution oriented with Interdisciplinary understanding of business processes /value drivers
Good understanding of Legal/Contractual aspects in agreements
Knowledge in the field of Sourcing, SAP, Purchasing, Logistic and International Transportation
Strong knowledge of MacGregor products and related supplier base preferred
Ability to manage multiple projects and relationships while remaining focused on the key deliverables.
