Sourcing Manager

ValueOne is looking for a Sourcing Manager with solid sourcing experience in an international environment for a consultant assignment at a pharmaceutical company in Stockholm. The assignment starts in August/September and will be converted into a permanent employment after six months.

The role  

As Sourcing Manager you will execute strategies within the field of production services and active product ingredients, working with key suppliers within the company´s pharmaceutic contract manufacturing network. You will become a member of our Sourcing & Supplier Management team within Operations and report to the Head of Sourcing & Supplier Management. Starting as a consultant assignment the employer has a stated ambition to convert the assignment into a permanent employment. The position is located in central Stockholm. Remote work is possible to some extent.   

Main tasks:

Develop and maintain contract manufacturing relations.
Drive tenders to business needs and manage total cost-saving projects.
Conduct spend analysis and drive cost savings and cost avoidance programs.
Conduct price negotiations, dispute resolution and contracting on a multinational level.
Secure attractive agreements and ensure that suppliers are constantly challenged.

Experience and competencies  

We believe that the right person for this role has a relevant university education in Law, Business, Operations or Supply Chain Management and that you have at least ten years (minimum five years within procurement) of relevant experience at an international multi stakeholder company with a proven track record in sourcing and negotiating complex categories. Experience from working within pharmaceutical industry and familiarity with GMP is essential as well as fluency in English written and verbal. Swedish is not mandatory. Additionally experience from an entrepreneurial culture and consumer healthcare products is advantageous.

For this role communication and collaboration on all levels are critical. It also demands knowledge in working with a complex supplier portfolio and a strong business acumen. To be successful in the role a strategic mindset and good people and problem solving skills is important. Furthermore you are a person with a methodological negotiation approach and knows how to present viable results.
