Sourcing Manager at Project Purchasing Interior & Exterior

We are now looking for a committed team member to strengthen Project Purchasing Interior & Exterior as a Sourcing Manager. We are responsible for the procurement of a variety of parts and components within new projects – from hoses to suspension solutions and lighting - currently focusing heavily on supporting Scania’s electrification road map.

 

The Team

You will be part of Project Purchasing Interior & Exterior, consisting of 8 purchasers with different backgrounds, nationalities, gender and experience. Your main tasks and responsibilities

In this role, you are responsible for the procurement of high-pressure hoses within product development projects, assuring the right technology, quality, delivery, and cost focusing on sustainability. You will manage a variety of tasks within different projects and at different project stages, reaching from early involvement when targets and time plans are set, to negotiating prices and conditions during the nominating phase to assuring timely industrializations at suppliers.   

As a Project Purchaser, you will work in close contact and alignment with our cross functions to reach common project goals. You will also be part of the 3-ring for hoses, consisting of 6 members, to contribute to a continuous development of our way of working and to set the overall strategy with your colleagues from commodity purchasing and quality assurance.   

 

Your profile


• Degree in engineering, business or similar
• 1-2 years relevant work experience
• Interest in both technology and business, commercial mindset
• Analytical, structured and able to handle multiple tasks at the same time
• Clear and professional when communicating internally and externally
• Fluent in spoken and written English
