We are looking for a candidate to join our fantastic Logistics Purchasing team and take on the role of Sourcing Manager within the outbound area.
At Logistics Purchasing we are responsible for the commercial aspects of material flows going in to and out from Scania, including the packaging material, direct material, spare parts, and produced vehicles. Regardless of modality; train, road, sea, or air we take pride in delivering commercially competitive solutions, still with a high focus on both sustainability and quality.
Your Tasks.
As a Sourcing Manager in Outbound, you will manage the commercial aspects of the European outbound flows for vehicles produced at any of the production units in Europe. It’s a complex and fun area with various challenges both commercial and in the area of sustainability and capacity management.
Many of your suppliers are also Scania customers which is an aspect of relationship management that is rather unique at Scania Purchasing.
In this position, you will develop and follow through on long-term strategies for your segment to:
• tender and negotiate the most competitive solutions on the market
• provide solutions with the highest level of quality to our customers
• enable Scania to reach our CO2 targets and commitment to driving the shift towards a more sustainable transport system
• Identify and execute potential synergies within the TRATON group logistics.
The position offers a global environment and your social network will include a variety of people from different cultures, both internally and externally. The work is often also in close collaboration with internal cross-functions as well as our Purchasing colleagues within the VW and TRATON group.
Being the commercial owner of your segment and supplier base you will be the main point of contact for many internal and external activities. In your daily work, you will lead and manage commercial topics, including e.g. large tenders, contract management, and supplier development. You will be working together with both internal and external partners to continuously optimize our outbound business.

The position requires several years of professional experience in commercial roles, strategic business development, and/or project management. Having a global network, You should be prepared to travel as well as be fluent in English, written as well as spoken.
