Are you looking for a new challenge and want to be part of a team that continuously strive to improve and develop our global supply chain, then this might be the position for you. We are looking for a candidate to join our team, of nine Purchasers, and take on the responsibility as Sourcing Manager for our Packaging segment.

At Logistics Purchasing we are commercially responsible for all flows going in to and out from Scania, including needed packaging material. Specifically for packaging, we see many interesting challenges coming within short - strategic projects with high focus on improving cost, quality and environmental footprint.

 

Your Tasks

As a Sourcing Manager for Packaging you will be commercially responsible for the supplier base and all contracts covering the Scania global packaging assortment; one-way, returnable and special packaging.

You will develop and follow through on long term strategies for your segment to:


• Tender and negotiate the most commercially competitive solutions on the market
• Provide solutions with the highest level of quality to our customers
• Enable Scania to reach our CO2 targets and commitment to driving the shift towards more sustainable transport solutions

Being the commercial owner of your segment and supplier base you will be the main point of contact for many internal and external activities. In your daily work you will be in charge of and managing all commercial topics, including e.g. large tenders, contract management and supplier development. You will be working together with both internal and external partners to continuously optimize our Packaging business.

As the focus on Sustainability continue to grow at Scania, the packaging area is expected to contribute with substantial improvements. Circular business models and increased usage of sustainable packaging materials are some examples of strategies being evaluated with high involvement of the Sourcing Manager.

Your Profile

We look for someone who enjoys and have experience of doing business, has a strong commitment and who works well both in teams and alone. You are professional, energetic and creative. You possess the ability to see the bigger picture and mix short term activities with longer term strategies.

Your main competence lies in creating structure and strategies as well as B2B negotiations. You have experience of evaluating risk/ opportunities in contracts/ legal frameworks and feel comfortable setting strategies for your own business area. You switch between different topics with ease, enjoy working in high paste and having a global network.

The position requires a few years of professional experience in a commercial role, strategic business development and/or project management. Having a global network, you should be prepared to travel (when safe again) and be fluent in English, written as well as spoken.
