Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Purchasing Commodity IT and Services, SAI, is a team of 10 people with an interesting mix  of different background and experiences. The team is working with and are responsible for purchasing activities for Scania's global demand of Software, Connectivity and Services including Consultants and Managed Services of various kinds.

We are currently looking for a Sourcing Manager with purchasing or other business experience to our team situated in Södertälje, Sweden.


Job description
The main objective will be to secure our IT and Services needs and reduce cost for complete segment turnover given that the quality, sustainability and delivery targets are met while considering the latest available technology.

You will have the possibility to further develop and refine your purchasing skillset by leading supplier negotiations, presenting results in decision boards and concluding commercial agreements in order to create the best value for Scania. Close cooperation with MAN and Volkswagen and active participation in the different internal stakeholder organizations is necessary to reach the best results and secure the needs and demands for Scania.


Your profile
To excel in this position you should be a team player with natural leadership skills. You are positive, communicative and have a pedagogic, creative and proactive approach to issues and tasks.

You are commercially driven, solution oriented and comfortable in presenting business cases in top management decision meetings. You most likely have an academic degree in engineering, software or legal in combination with relevant business experience.

You should also like to work independently and have great social skills with the ability to develop and maintain a broad network of supplier contacts as well as interfaces within Scania and the Volkswagen Group.
